Proclamation of procrastination!

The Workshop at Finley Farms

Now usually I have already completed all of my present purchases for Christmas by now. I'm not sure what has changed this year but we have yet to start buying anything! In our family, my mother in-law's birthday as well as my in-law's anniversary is all in December. So the wife sent me on a hunt for gifts and treasures down at the Workshop in Ozark, Mo.

For anyone not familiar with The Workshop, it is part of the Finley Farms project that started about a year ago by the founder of Bass Pro Shops, Johnny Morris. The Workshop is the first business to open that is part of the full renovation of the area near the old Ozark Mill. This brings some new local coffee staples to Ozark, as well as a menu of five different toast offerings. You can get anything from ciabatta with mashed avocado topped with cherry tomatoes, olive oil, Maldon salt, and cracked black pepper to wheat toast with a smear of fromage blanc and covered in berries and honey.

Sadly, I didn't have the time to indulge in some of the menu as I was on the hunt for the perfect gift. Speaking of perfect gifts, if you are still out there hunting day to day trying to find something that is more personal than a gift card, you really should head south and check out the selection of goods they offer.

They have quite the selection of pour over coffee makers, thermos mugs. There is also candles, soaps and even bartender tool kits. Or you could go the gift card route and grab one so someone could enjoy the great menu of food or coffee!
